ANZCO Foods is one of New Zealand's largest exporters, with over 3,000 employees worldwide and turnover in excess of $1.5 billion. ANZCO procures premium New Zealand beef and lamb, and owns the only large scale feed lot operation in New Zealand.
ANZCO is 100% owned by Japan’s Itoham Yonekyu. Itoham has been a partner of ANZCO Foods since 1984 and a shareholder since 1995. It took full ownership in January 2018.
ANZCO's purpose is to transform a large part of the animal into innovative food and healthcare products that are then marketed and sold in over 80 countries. With the aim of enriching lives with product made from New Zealand beef and lamb, and connecting producers with global market opportunities, ANZCO is challenging the boundaries as part of its journey of transformation.
ANZCO built the Rangitikei sheep processing site in 2005. It employs around 400 people and has an annual processing capacity of 1m sheep/lambs.
With the promotion and pending transfer of the incumbent Site Manager, ANZCO are looking to attract an ambitious, strong people leader who can maintain the culture, the continuous improvement approach and efficiency of this site. This is a key senior management role within ANZCO’s Processing Group and it is a well-run, highly regarded site.
You will be responsible for leading and driving operational performance for the site, ensuring that they operate in an efficient, compliant, safe and optimal manner that is in line with ANZCO's vision, mission and business direction.
To succeed in this role, you will be an engaging and contemporary leader with the ability to establish strong relationships across your peer group and ensuring your teams receive appropriate coaching and development. You will have a number of the following attributes:
- Ideally Meat processing operations management experience
- Proven leadership experience applying a continuous improvement mind-set to quality systems, food safety, animal welfare and health and safety controls
- Strong financial and commercial acumen
- High level of organisation and energy
- Computer / technology proficient
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to multitask effectively.
