Based at ANZCO's Rangitikei plant, this role has arisen due to the promotion of the incumbent. It is a well-run, highly regarded site within ANZCO and we are looking to attract an ambitious, strong people leader who can contribute to maintaining the culture, the continuous improvement approach and efficiency of the Production for the site.
Reporting directly to the Operations Manager, you will be a senior manufacturing leader within the site, responsible for planning, directing, and coordinating the production process from raw material input to final product packaging. This includes responsibility for product quality, production efficiency, compliance, health & safety and employee relations. You will effectively utilise KPI’s, financial statements, operational reports to track performance to establish action plans, and therefore continually improves the operation on a daily by shift basis.
Your Skills and Experience
To succeed in this role we are looking for you to have a number of the following attributes:
- Experience within a production management role, preferably within the food industry,
- People leadership capability - Can demonstrate leadership skills in applying lean thinking, quality systems, food safety, health and safety controls
- Knowledge of managing an effective and profitable production process
- Strong analytical ability and knowledge of operational and financial metrics for production
- Experience within the meat industry would be highly regarded.
Ideally we are looking for an experience Production Manager, but we will consider applications from ambitious people who can demonstrate the ability to take the next step into such a role.
